Help people build new friendships!
A good conversation, doing something together, or having someone to fall back on. For many people, this is not something to be taken for granted. That is why Humanitas NederRijn has set up the Vriendenbank : an initiative that helps adults between the ages of 23 and 60 make new, valuable connections.
Every participant has their own story, but they are all looking for more connection. As a volunteer coordinator , you play an important role in this. Thanks to your efforts, people get the chance to build new friendships.
What are you going to do?
As a coordinator, you guide participants from the initial introduction to a successful match. You:
- recruits new participants for the Vriendenbank;
- conducts introductory conversations and discovers what someone is looking for;
- matches participants based on interests, personality, expectations, and wishes;
- keeps in touch in the background after the match and follows up on how things are going;
- be the point of contact for participants when necessary;
- helps organize social activities;
- contributes to the awareness of the Vriendenbank in the region.
Who are we looking for?
You are someone who enjoys connecting people. Additionally:
- do you have people skills and can you listen well;
- do you possess mediation skills;
- dare to make decisions when necessary;
- are you available for at least one half-day per week (preferably more) and willing to commit for the long term;
- You can travel within the Lower Rhine region (Rhenen, Veenendaal, Wageningen and Ede).
