Humanitas Ontmoet is looking for a buddy for a friendly, intellectual gentleman.
Do you love culture, architecture, and a good walk in the morning sun? For a friendly, intellectual gentleman in his eighties, we are looking for a companion in Wageningen who will motivate him to go outside again.
Who is Mr.?
Our client is a former teacher with a great passion for art and history. For many years, he was an enthusiastic volunteer at a museum. He is a man who enjoys depth; he likes spending time behind his laptop looking up photos of art objects and historical buildings.
Due to recent circumstances, the gentleman has become somewhat insecure and confused, causing him to currently dare to leave the house less often. This sometimes makes him emotional, but with the right support and a pleasant conversation, he will surely blossom again.
What are you going to do?
The goal is to get the gentleman moving again, literally and figuratively.
• Walking together: The gentleman is still physically fit and can walk independently.
• Sharing interests: Talking about history, art, or the beautiful spots in Wageningen.
• When: We are looking for someone who is preferably available during the morning hours.
Who are we looking for?
• You are a somewhat older man or woman who connects with his or her world of experience.
• You have patience, a listening ear, and can handle someone who sometimes feels a bit insecure well.
• An affinity with education, art, or history is a big plus!
What do you get in return?
A valuable interaction with a well-read man who has much to tell. You not only offer the gentleman a pleasant morning, but also give her a moment of peace for herself.
