As a member, you are involved in assessing and advising on building plans. Based on your energy and affinity, you dedicate yourself to one of the focus areas.
As a WAC volunteer, you find it important that people in Wageningen live comfortably and feel safe and at home.
- You have knowledge of or an affinity with construction or housing.
- You can empathize with the housing needs of residents
- You are interested in architecture and urban planning
- You are willing to take a 2-day course on 'reading drawings and advising'.
- You are available for an average of a few half-days per month, partly also in the evening hours.
- You are willing to commit to the WAC for at least one term of four years.
AREA OF FOCUS
To keep the WAC organization functioning, in addition to the basic tasks, we have a number of areas of focus, such as board member (chairperson, treasurer, or secretary) or committee member, where you apply your affinity, experience, or energy to a specific area of focus. For example:
- Communication: increasing awareness and visibility, website management
- Collaborating in the WACs region for further professionalization
- COW agenda member, observer for new plans in the committee
- Connecting with other social organizations in the field of construction and housing
- Knowledge work with an orientation towards expertise centers in the field of area development, construction, and housing, such as sustainability.
