Volunteer Youth & Money
Youth & Money South Limburg is for young people who need more knowledge about administration and finances and for young people who have insufficient skills to build up and maintain a healthy financial situation. By providing the right tools, young people become more confident about their financial skills and can grow into financially self-reliant young adults. Our volunteers offer young people free, low-threshold one-on-one support in their financial administration and teach them how to handle their own money matters.
As a volunteer…
· are you the buddy of a young person, especially financially;
· you support the young person in putting the administration in order;
· you support the young person in making income and expenditure transparent;
· give you tips and advice to balance income and expenditure and keep it;
· you teach the younger skills that he/she can use to arrange money matters independently.
What do we ask:
· you are at least eighteen years old and young at heart;
· you get along well with young people;
· you like to get started within the theme of money matters;
· you can properly guard the confidential information about the participant;
you like to think in terms of solutions and have a positive attitude;
· you can support and advise young people;
· you have sufficient social skills;
· you have a good command of the Dutch language;
· You have time to support a young person for about one year for 1 to 2 hours a week with his or her administration and money matters;
· You can submit a VOG.
What do you get in return?
· Challenging and interesting work in your free time;
· Mandatory basic training and specialization training so that you can start well prepared as a buddy for a young person who needs financial support;
· The opportunity to learn new skills through (additional) training;
· Professional guidance, always someone to fall back on;
· Accident and WA insurance;
· Travel and expense allowance.
