Would you like to help our organization Humanitas Parkstad to enable the coordinators and other volunteers to provide their grateful help to others effectively and with pleasure?

That's great! We are looking for two volunteer directors, for the finances and the secretariat of our fine department.

This means volunteer Director

What could be better than supporting people who help others to get their lives 'back on track'? As a volunteer Director, you ensure, together with the other directors, that the circumstances, both financially, organizationally and in communication with the municipalities and care organizations, are and remain workable for our volunteers. With at least/around 2 to 4 hours a week you help the volunteers to do their work well. Humanitas is a Dutch national association with around 23,000 volunteers in a number of regions and approximately 78 branches.

Humanitas Parkstad branch can be found in the municipalities of Heerlen, Kerkrade, Simpelveld, Voerendaal, Beekdaelen, Landgraaf and Brunssum.

What do you need for this?

You have an affinity and preferably also experience with managing people. You have a genuine interest in people and like to help them get the best out of themselves. It would also be great if you have experience in finances of a smaller organization and you like to help us with this. And/or you like to help our organization with simple reporting of meetings and other small secretarial work.

You enjoy working in a small management team.

You would like to follow some Humanitas training courses (e-learning and some on-site training).

A very rewarding volunteer position. In which you can really make a positive contribution to a group of volunteers who help others and for which you also receive just appreciation. You have a lot of freedom to do something for society with your personal skills in your free time. Together with the other board members, you create the best conditions for our coordinators and volunteers to do their rewarding work for people with a need for help in the region well and with pleasure. You do your “thing” with a lot of pleasure and fun in a nice team.

We will reimburse your travel expenses and take out volunteer insurance for you.
