Summary
What does it mean to be a good ancestor? What does the best possible future look like for future generations? Find out at the Lab TG.Detailed description
In 'Give Future Generations a Green Voice!' explore what it means to be a good ancestor. The Future Generations Lab (Lab TG) teaches you to imagine the best possible future for future generations. What does the future look like and what choices can we make now to achieve it?
The Lab TG trains you in using special tools so that you can already give the next generations a voice. You will meet the Acting Ombudsperson for Future Generations and talk to other inspiring people from the Lab TG. You will have the opportunity to delve into insights about a nature-inclusive and sustainable society. In other words, you learn to be a good ancestor!
With this knowledge you will help Lab TG to develop a youth program. That is desperately needed, because it is not there yet! You follow training courses with the whole group, and you meet interesting speakers. Of course there is time for team building. You choose a subproject that suits you and you start working in that team. On some days we go out, for example to the Wadden Sea, where you learn more about the work of the Lab TG.
Your bet in short:
You help the Lab TG with the development of a youth program.
You will do this in 3 sub-projects and you choose the project that suits you best.
1. Youth meeting; Organize a meeting with young people to really give shape and substance to the youth program. You organize an inspiring meeting with about 40 young people. You build the youth program with the ideas from the meeting.
In order to reach more young people and to be able to properly disseminate the ideas and tools of the TG Lab, you will start making accessible:
2. Future generation thinking; Create a video, blog or podcast that introduces other young people to the future generation of thinking.
3. The Future Chair; The Future Chair is a tool of the Lab TG. The Future Chair is literally a 'free' chair in, for example, a meeting or in a board. In this way, the voice of future generations is included in today's decisions in all decisions. But how do you best use it?
Your Impact:
You will learn how to take the interests of future generations into account and how to apply this. You can therefore also inspire others to look at the future in this way. You help the Lab TG by increasing their reach among young people and you lay the first building blocks of the youth program. You make the ideas and tools of the TG Lab accessible to others.
In addition, you contribute to a better nature-inclusive world, for current and future generations and for all living things.
When?
On September 25 we meet at the national day of the Green Traineeship. Then we'll see each other from October 8 on Fridays from 10:00-16:00.
True?
We meet at the beautifully situated and wooded Landgoed Zonheuvel, Doorn. Some meetings are online. For special days we go to the Wadden Sea and Nyenrode University.
