We are looking for someone who wants to structurally maintain our WordPress website and provide assistance in creating the digital newsletter.
Digital House Wageningen has a website with news and information about the theme of so-called basic skills (language, math and digital skills) and about what is going on in the Wageningen Digital House. The website is intended for users who want to learn, but also for volunteers and partners of the Digital House.
We also produce a digital newsletter four times a year for everyone involved in our work. We are looking for a volunteer to keep the website interesting and up to date and to assist with the newsletter. Previously published newsletters can be found under the News button on the website.
What are you going to do?
- You update the website of the Digital House on offer and news facts on a monthly basis, and you make major additions or changes in consultation with the coordinator.
- You identify news and developments in the field of basic skills that may be of interest to readers of the newsletter and/or users of our website.
- You help the coordinator compile the newsletter four times a year.
Who are we looking for?
- You have reasonable knowledge of WordPress and you want to keep that knowledge up to date.
- You are good at Dutch, and you want to study writing at B1 level.
- You are curious about and have an affinity with the theme of basic skills for adults: language, math and digital skills.
- You are able to select relevant news items and information from five to ten websites and convert them into messages that are interesting and informative for our readers.
- You have a flexible, positive attitude.
- You can work together, often remotely, with paid and voluntary employees of the Digital House Wageningen.
- We determine the number of hours you need or are available in consultation. Two hours a week seems realistic.
What do we offer you?
- Participation in the Basic Training for language volunteers in order to properly understand the activities of the Digital House.
- Guidance from the library by the Digital House coordinator.
- Free membership of the bblthk Wageningen.
- Free participation in workshops of Het Begint met Taal.
