Do you have a heart for other cultures? And do you enjoy teaching refugees the basics of the Dutch language? Then we're looking for you!
What are you going to do?
As a volunteer you will teach 'Basal Dutch' to a group of residents (10-12 residents). Basic Dutch focuses on teaching the resident sufficient basic words to be able to manage in everyday life on and around the location. You as a volunteer: - Prepare the lessons (for which a complete lesson program is available) - Give lessons to the residents - Keep track of the progress of the participating residents - Maintain contact with the COA contact person. In principle, you perform the tasks alone, but you also consult with the other volunteers. If you prefer to start a group with another volunteer, this is also possible.
Job requirements:
You as a volunteer: - Have an affinity with residents from different cultural and language backgrounds. - Masters the Dutch language well and is enthusiastic to convey this. - Speaks English (recommended, but not required).
Working time:
The working days can be filled in in consultation. Our preference in terms of time is 9.30 - 11.00 in the morning. You can choose to use min. 1 time per week and max. 2 teaching moments per week.
