As a volunteer at Brood en Spelen (Bread and Games), you ensure that children can relax, laugh and have fun during their lunch break.

What are you going to do?

As a volunteer, you'll ensure children can relax, laugh, and have fun during their lunch break. You might help with classroom lunches, devise fun games for the playground, or assist with other practical tasks. Volunteering at Brood & Spelen contributes to a pleasant school day for every child.

This volunteer work includes:

  • Preparing the remainder together.
  • Check that all registered children are present. If absent, contact the teacher and follow the protocol.
  • Provide a positive, pleasant and calm atmosphere.
  • Leave the premises tidy after use.

This is what we offer you

  • A volunteer allowance of at least €11 per time.
  • A friendly team of enthusiastic volunteers, supervised by a coordinator.
  • An annual team outing.
  • During school holidays you are always free!
  • Training courses to further your development, for example in communication, game supervision, pedagogy, and safety. Even without experience, volunteering at Brood & Spelen offers you the opportunity to develop yourself.

What do we expect from you?

  • You are available on at least one of the following days:
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm.
  • Experience with (groups of) children is nice, but you can also respond if you don't have any experience yet.
