The main goal of the Dolfinariumvrij Nederland campaign is to end the captivity of dolphins and other marine (mammals) animals.
WHO ARE YOU?
- You would like to volunteer your time for an animal rights organization.
- You have at least two hours a week for this.
- You can work well independently.
- You are communicative.
- You are enthusiastic and motivated.
- You have a sense of responsibility and keep to agreements made.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
The main goal of the Dolfinariumvrij Nederland campaign is to put an end to the captivity of dolphins and other marine (mammal) animals such as in the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk. A first step is a breeding ban for marine mammals that do not have an endangered status and an export and import ban of these animals. In this way, the animals that are now in the Dolfinarium are the last generation in captivity. The main concrete goal of the campaign is to close the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk.
There are several activities to do for the campaign:
- Renewing the texts of flyers.
- Writing texts for the website.
- Improving and updating the website.
- Writing texts for social media.
- Managing the social media channels (such as responding to messages).
- Drafting the digital newsletter.
- Thinking of actions.
- Coordinating actions (online or physical).
- Writing opinion articles.
- Drafting petitions.
- Drafting texts for e-mail campaigns.
- Write to organizations that offer discount tickets for the Dolfinarium.
- Telephone organizations that do not respond to the above.
- Developing a presentation package.
- Developing a curriculum.
- Registering/emailing schools.
- Registration of political parties.
You can (co) work on one or more tasks. You work independently within the campaign team. The team keeps in touch via Slack and meets online once a month.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
You can invest your free time in an animal rights organization by doing something you love and making a difference to the animals. Your work can be both in front of and behind the scenes; the result is always of great importance.
You can work from home.
