Do you have a heart for people with dementia? Do you want to contribute to improving the quality of life for people with dementia and informal carers? Do you want to make an effort to draw attention to the interests of people with dementia and informal caregivers in your region?

Then we are looking for you!

The board of Alzheimer Nederland department Amsterdam is looking for representative (s)!

You are in conversation with policymakers, politicians, healthcare institutions and care providers in your region to make known the wishes and needs of people with dementia. You are well informed about the positions of Alzheimer Nederland and can propagate them. You have a signal function for Alzheimer Nederland nationwide. You actively provide a platform for people with dementia. You recruit and support the volunteers who act as local advocates for the department. You describe with them the advocacy part of the annual activity plan. You can set aside about 4-8 hours per week for this work.

Able to stand up for the interests of people with dementia without self-interest?

Someone with a relevant network or would you like to build this up in your region?

Someone who is able to connect and motivate the advocates in your department?

Someone who dares to stand on the soap box?

We offer: Voluntary work for the Amsterdam department of Alzheimer Nederland can be carried out flexibly. We think it is important that new volunteers quickly feel at home within our organization. We are all committed to this, both the board and the other volunteers. In addition, Alzheimer Nederland offers various training courses and meetings aimed at deepening or advancing expertise.
