A Buddy for a chat

Many seniors are no longer able to participate in activities and, partly because of this, see their social contacts greatly reduced. Loneliness can have a negative impact on the psychological and physical health of the elderly. To combat this loneliness, Alifa is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are willing to commit themselves to this. Would you like to contribute to this great project? Then read on quickly!

Buddy for a Chat

As a buddy, you visit a senior every week (or more often) to chat, play a game, read or go for a walk (wheelchair if necessary).

As a buddy you are not the one who does the shopping, performs household or other chores or is available for calamities.

What do we offer

· A volunteer agreement, liability and accident insurance during the work and a travel allowance.

The possibility to use the range of fun / educational activities of our volunteer platform YOU.

A Christmas gift.

What do we ask

A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). We request this.

One or more hours per week of your time (depending on your own wishes / capabilities).

A Buddy for a Talk is part of a broad approach to loneliness in seniors.

The work location is at the home of the participants.

Working hours are always in consultation.
