Providing substantive information to visitors to the Nature and Outdoors Hub, the study center of Aardbalans.
What are you going to do?
- you answer questions from visitors during opening hours of the study center
- you inform visitors substantively (about the subject of your expertise)
- you regularly hold 'consultation hours' during which visitors can visit you
- you are a source of information for other volunteers who have substantive questions
- you make substantive contributions to exhibitions
- you check exhibition texts for content (on the subject of your expertise)
- you are willing to use your expertise during nature/heritage events
- you can inform visitors about professional literature on the subject of your expertise
- you work closely with the content developers and provide them with advice
- you are willing to give lectures on the subject of your expertise
- you keep up to date with the professional literature and make proposals for the purchase of publications
When does this job suit you?
- minimum HBO working and thinking level, preferably communication, information science, education
- you are broadly oriented to nature and landscape, heritage and local history and/or the environment and sustainability
- you have one or more specializations within nature and landscape, heritage and local history and/or environment and sustainability
- you have experience with public information
- you enjoy sharing your knowledge and helping others along the way
- you can deal with different types of visitors and in various settings
- In addition to substantive knowledge, you also have practical knowledge about communication and/or education
- you are also available on evenings and/or weekends
- being able to listen to customers and hear 'the question behind the question'
- affinity with non-profit organizations
