Restoration of books from the collection of the Nature and Outdoor Life Hub, the study center of Aardbalans.
What are you going to do?
- rebinding books with low condition status (indicate in database)
- books with a broken cover or damaged cover provided with a new, hard cover
- laminate or provide a hard cover if the frequency of use gives rise to this
- checking (frequently) used books for any defects
- digital updating of condition status
- interim evaluation in consultation with the librarian
When does this job suit you?
- minimum MBO working and thinking level (preferably successfully completed a book restoration course)
- familiar with different techniques of book restoration [hard requirement]
- extensive experience with covers, lamination and restoration of books
- be able to work accurately
- independent
- being able to think critically
- affinity with Dutch nature
