Detailed description
Stichting Wielewaal organizes holiday daycare (children's theme weeks) for children with disabilities during the school holidays. Every day is filled with all sorts of fun activities in and around the mytylschool.
Crafts, sports and games, music ... Activities are geared to ages, wishes and possibilities of the children. Each week the activities are dominated by a theme.
A group can consist of children from 4 to 20 years with various disabilities (physically and / or mentally and / or ADHD / autism). Because you encounter all sorts of children and disabilities during childhoodthemes, this is a fun way to get to know different target groups. Children register per day, volunteers are present all week and stay overnight.
What do you do as a volunteer?
As a volunteer you ensure that the participants have fun and enjoy. You help with daily care, such as helping with food and going to the bathroom. You also help to prepare and supervise the activities. Household tasks such as cooking, washing and cleaning are also included.
