About Expedition Loevestein

Expedition Loevestein consists of a preparatory lesson in the classroom and a part of the day outside, in the flood plains around Slot Loevestein. In the class, the shipping supervisor tells about the area. In the nature reserve, the classroom is sent out in small groups in small groups with assignments and materials, to discover and experience nature itself. & Nbsp; As a volunteer you guide the groups and take care of the guest lessons in the classroom.

De Bommelerwaard

Expedition Loevestein is executed in the floodplain area around Slot Loevestein. It lies in the west of the Bommelerwaard, where Maas and Waal come together. Nature can go its own way here and you can wander around freely with the class. & Nbsp; In a nature reserve with wide water channels, mysterious swamps and flowery plains. Enough to wander, discover and experience infinitely!

What do we ask of you?

• You have experience and / or affinity with guiding primary school children in the age of 8 up to 12 years;
• You like to go out with a small group of children in nature and prefer to experience nature yourself;
• You can work well together;
• You are prepared to take a preparatory class in the classroom;
• You can convey information in a narrative and enthusiastic way
• You are prepared to help regularly on a weekday, especially in the months of May, June, September and October;
• You are pleased to wear representative volunteer clothing from Staatsbosbeheer;
• You are willing to walk with and learn from experienced volunteers;
• you are willing to come to the area by your own transport;
• You submit, at the expense of Staatsbosbeheer, a statement from n good behavior (requires i.v. working with children).
