We are looking for an enthusiastic Bible storyteller who can provide a storytelling service for our clients once every 8 weeks in the Vierhuis on the grounds of 's Heeren
Who are we?
At our residential care park, people with a mental and sometimes physical disability live and work in a protected environment. Some of these people attach great value to attending storytelling and religious services in our church, the Vierhuis, on the grounds of 's Heeren Loo. The differences in the experience of such a service are great. One person literally understands what you say, the other finds peace in the recognition of this gathering. Approximately fifty clients with or without supervision attend each storytelling service.
What are we asking?
's Heeren Loo has a team of spiritual caregivers. They are looking for enthusiastic people who are familiar with the Bible for the storytelling services. Volunteers who can tell Bible stories in a fun, spontaneous way. There is already a small team of volunteers, who rotate with the storytelling services once every few weeks. It would be great if one or two more volunteers would join them. Then you would be on Sunday once every 8 weeks. The service lasts about half an hour. Having an affinity with people with an intellectual disability and having experience with children's services is a plus. The website of kind op zondag contains beautiful examples of stories that can be told. But everyone is free to tell a different story. So you make the program yourself in advance.
