Who is Rosanne?
Rosanne is a 29-year-old woman with a moderate intellectual disability. She lives in a residential group on the grounds of 's Heeren Loo. She functions at the level of a toddler. She speaks in multi-word sentences.
She responds to short and concise sentences with only 1 command. She has a limited sense of time. She may have a big smile on her face but is known for her dark look with a deep frown. When she is happy, she moves her arms and legs vigorously and makes happy, contented and sometimes singing sounds.
She enjoys music and knows many children's songs by heart. In the past someone came to make music and sing with her, she really enjoyed this! She exercises, swims and dances. Her level of involvement in the activity depends on her mood.
What does Rosanne ask?
It would be very nice for Rosanne if someone would come for her again to enjoy music and singing together. It would be nice if a volunteer came once every 2 weeks. Preferably on Wednesday evening at 19:00. Another day/time is also possible in consultation. The volunteer should take the time to get to know her and adapt to her level and mood. A volunteer who, like her, enjoys singing and music. Rosanne has a cue board. Do you make her happy with music?
