Marleen goes to the swimming pool in Twello once a month, but cannot do this alone
Who is Marleen?
Marleen is a 31-year-old young woman with a moderate intellectual disability.
She has a sense of humor and can laugh a lot!
She can talk and communicate in a normal way. She can manage well, but needs help to keep an overview. She walks well and cycles on a tricycle or tandem.
She wears leg splints for extra stability when walking. She has a limited view that must be taken into account, for example in traffic. Marleen likes fun and doing fun things together.
Marleen lives in a residential group where the Christian identity is very important.
Marleen swims every 4th Saturday of the month in the swimming pool in Twello.
She then goes to a group lesson where they do fun exercises in the water together.
What is Marleen asking?
It would be very nice and nice for Marleen if there was a volunteer who could go to the group lesson in Twello with her. Every 4th Saturday of the month from 10.15-12.30 you will be on the road with her. This can be done by the volunteer's car (0.30 cents per km) or together with the taxi (costs are reimbursed). Marleen would love it if you would participate in the activity with her, but sitting on the sidelines is also fine. She needs some help getting dressed and going to the bath. Marleen is visually impaired and needs help to oversee the spaces. Of course you will be trained by guidance who knows her well.

's Heeren Loo we can organize extra activities and personal attention and
fulfill customer needs. Think of taking a walk, playing a game or
just having a good conversation over a cup of coffee.
