Summary

Linda is a woman with a mild intellectual disability, we want her to have a friend

Detailed description

Who is Linda?

Linda is a sweet woman of 38 years old with a mild intellectual disability. She lives in a residential group on the grounds of 's Heeren Loo, where she receives 24-hour care. She functions at the level of someone of primary school age. She is friendly and social, wouldn't hurt a fly, laughs loudly at the most dirty jokes. But she also has a negative disposition. The first sentence is usually; "it won't get better". Fortunately, this can be changed quickly. She has no acquaintances or friends around her, but she does have contact with her parents. A buddy would be very welcome for her. Linda is crazy about jeu de boules! She loves dogs and likes to walk them.

Linda has an epileptic seizure a few times a year, and the volunteer is trained to deal with this.

She has a very friendly appearance, with a red wine stain on her face and large lips.

She does not experience any adverse effects from this.

What is Linda asking?

For Linda we are looking for someone who comes especially for her. Someone who has a positive outlook on life. An open and friendly person with humor, who suits her. Someone who can convince her that things without money are also fun, for example; Linda likes walking at the Leesten, but she finds it hard to bring herself to bring money for coffee and cake. The trick is to get her excited that taking a bottle of water and a cookie can also be fun. So someone who can make choices and has patience with her.

Someone who comes by (at her own discretion) to pamper her, paint her nails, curl her hair, go out for dinner, take her for a walk in nature, go shopping in the city centre or a shopping centre, play a game, have a cup of coffee, play miniature golf, cheer her on at the jeu de boules club and much more!

Someone with a dog would be great too!

Preferably once every 1 or 2 weeks on Wednesday or Saturday, or during the week after 3 p.m.
