Summary

At Maatjes, humanity and equality are central. It's about personal contact. Warmth, humor, attention, time, respect and understanding are important. When Buddies find each other, something beautiful happens. Friendships are formed, lives are changed.

Detailed description

Many residents of 's Heeren Loo are looking for a buddy. Someone who is there especially for him or her and who takes the time to do something fun together.

As a buddy, you do activities together. The interpretation depends on the interests and possibilities of the resident, but also what you can and want to offer as a volunteer. What you are going to do may differ from time to time. Indoors, such as drinking coffee together, playing a game or making food. Other times you go out together. Going to the cinema together, scoring new sneakers in the city, chilling in the park or going to the market to eat some fish. Or just a short drive in the car… The most important thing is that you click and are willing to put energy into building a relationship of trust.

Every person is unique; that also applies to our clients. One immediately reacts enthusiastically, the other first looks the cat out of the tree. One likes to have fun, the other likes to go out. The degree of limitation also differs per client. One is almost completely self-reliant, while the other needs support or guidance in everything he or she wants to undertake. But for all these clients there is a need for personal attention. You can give it as a volunteer.
We offer you
  • A nice volunteer place
  • An end-of-year gift
  • Insured for third party liability and accidents
  • Travel allowance
  • Annual volunteer party as a thank you for your efforts
  • Possibility of training and information meetings
  • Committed contribution to the clients
  • Full appreciation and a priceless experience
