Hein seeks contact with someone who occasionally visits him to take a bike ride or walk together. Hein would love it if you had a cat that he could pet every now and then.
Who is Hein?
Hein is a 72-year-old man with a moderate intellectual disability. He likes to do things in his spare time. Hein likes to watch TV in his room, preferably animal videos. Cat (like) are his favorite. Hein knows exactly who has a cat and he likes to go to the shelter to see it. He is interested in anything with a plug, telephones, computers even if they don't work. Hein is very independent and likes to go his own way. Hein likes to go out, days out, on holiday or somewhere to eat. Hein is looking for someone who wants to go with him when there are special days on the site and who comes especially for him.
Hein is deaf and can communicate by using gestures, taking you along and pointing. He likes to make a lot of noise. When someone does not know sign language, he does his best to make clear what he means. Hein is generally cheerful. He doesn't get angry easily and when he does he wants to make amends quickly. Hein easily makes contact with people, but he does need some time to explore who you are and what he can expect from you. Hein walks without aids and can also cycle on a tandem or side-by-side tandem. Hein also likes to walk around the site and is interested in construction activities, animals and mushrooms.
