Who is Ellen?
Ellen is a 54-year-old woman with a moderate intellectual disability. She is a calm and sweet woman. She functions at an age of 4 to 5 years. She likes to chat and jokes. First of all, she looks the cat out of the tree. She enjoys 1 on 1 contact and is very happy when someone comes especially for her. She likes to play games, have a chat, ride a bike and do fun things. Sometimes she can be sad and hurt herself or throw things. With guidance, she can be reassured in this.
What is Ellen asking?
Ellen is looking for a volunteer who comes especially for her. She can really look forward to this. Someone who takes the time to get to know her and who can offer her peace of mind when things are not going so well. A volunteer who comes to play a game, have a chat with her, cycle with her, have a drink together and discover what else can be fun together. The day and frequency can be discussed. Do you let her look forward to visitors?
