Summary

Jan has Down syndrome and really wants a buddy with whom he can do fun things once a month

Detailed description

Who is Jan?

Jan is a 52-year-old man with Down syndrome. He lives in a residential group at the residential care park of 's Heeren Loo where he receives 24-hour care and guidance. He functions at the age of a toddler. Jan can talk, but it is not always clear what he means, but in the end it often is. You will learn this automatically when you know him a little longer. He is a real sociable person! He likes to joke and likes a lot.

He likes to spoil people and is happy to help you. Sometimes a bit stubborn, he likes to have his way!

Jan loves swimming, cycling, going to the city, going out, driving and Dutch music.

What does Jan ask?

We are looking for a buddy for Jan.

Someone who, just like him, enjoys fun, has humor and patience to get to know and understand him.

Someone who comes especially for him once a month and goes for a drive with him, goes to town, gets an ice cream, goes swimming or does other fun fun things. The day does not matter and can be arranged in consultation.

If you make it fun for him, he will do the same for you!

We offer you

  • A nice volunteer place
  • An end-of-year gift
  • Insured for third party liability and accidents
  • Travel allowance
  • Annual volunteer party as a thank you for your efforts
  • Possibility of training and information meetings
  • Involved contribution to clients
  • Full appreciation and a priceless experience
