For our residential group we are looking for a volunteer to undertake activities together

Who are we?

We live with 7 people with a moderate intellectual disability in a residential group in a residential area just outside the grounds of 's Heeren Loo. They are all mobile and can all communicate verbally. Humor and cosiness predominate in this house, but clarity and predictability are also very important. What are we going to do and when are we going to do it? Because a number of the residents cannot/are not allowed to do activities independently, they are dependent on the proximity of a supervisor/volunteer. We like to walk (1 client likes to catch Pokémons), play games, listen to music, do crafts or cycle.

What do we ask?

We are looking for a volunteer who is into games, hiking, gaming, catching Pokémons, crafts and cycling. Residents also like to go to church together, a playground or the like. This can be individual, but also combined with several residents/activities. One of the residents suffers from epilepsy as a result of her illness, if you want to do something with her, you will be trained.

Organization information

Within 's Heeren Loo, the efforts of volunteers are valuable. They contribute to a meaningful life for people with intellectual disabilities. Thanks to the many volunteers of 's Heeren Loo, we can organize extra activities and fulfill personal attention and wishes for clients. Think of taking a walk, playing a game or just having a good conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee.
