Albert-Jan is a 59-year-old man with a mild intellectual disability. With him it is never boring or quiet!
Who is Albert-Jan?
Albert-Jan is a sociable and enthusiastic man of 59 years old with a mild intellectual disability. He lives in a residential group at the residential care park of 's Heeren Loo, where he receives 24-hour supervision. He really enjoys socializing and chatting about the past and about current affairs. Because of his spasm, he is sometimes a bit difficult to understand, but gradually you learn to understand him better. Of course, his supervisors will help you with this. He cycles independently on a regular bicycle on and outside the residential care park, he likes to play games on the computer; such as knight games. He likes to go out and bake something. In short; he is mainly looking for socializing and is up for a lot of things!
What is Albert-Jan asking?
Albert-Jan is looking for an enthusiastic buddy. Someone who comes especially for him. Someone who, like him, is up for fun and a chat. The day/frequency and time are in consultation with each other. One time this could be a nice bike ride in the neighborhood together and a chat and the other time a day at the zoo together. Everything in consultation and whatever seems fun! You discuss the budget with the supervisors in advance.
