Profile description office worker SamenSpraak and Taal voor het Leven (volunteer function)
Purpose of the position
The employee links questions from a customer who belongs to the activity's target group to a volunteer who has the right knowledge and experience to answer the question.
SamenSpraak : speakers of other languages learn to speak Dutch better with a volunteer.
Language for Life : people with low literacy learn to read and write Dutch better with a volunteer.
Tasks:
- conducting conversations aimed at assessing the request for help from
- the client to be able to determine whether this request for help can be answered by a volunteer of the activity. Linking clients to a suitable coach, coach or consultant;
- selecting volunteers based on an approved job profile.
- registering customer data in the information system
- monitoring the progress of a guidance process based on agreed lead times
- participating in (periodic) consultations with colleagues from the own team - organizing
- meetings aimed at promoting the expertise of the volunteers working in the activity.
Job requirements:
- Involvement with the target group
- Preferably at least HBO working and thinking level
- Good command of the Dutch language
- Good communication skills and empathy
- Being able to have good and bad news conversations
- Result-oriented approach
- Patience and a flexible attitude
- Able to work independently and according to plan
- Being able to work together in a small team
- On average two days per week in time investment
- Computer skills
- Willingness to participate in a training or workshop in the context of promoting expertise
