Detailed description
We focus on young people between the ages of 12 and 27 and work together with different organizations to reach them. Our mission is to improve the position of young people by making them smarter and more resilient with regarding the themes that are important to them.
What we do? We develop and implement appealing projects. The Thinking of projects is done by young people themselves, so we stay there time and again to succeed in thinking up something that touches current events and appeals to young people. We can not and do not want to do this without the cooperation with relevant organizations such as education, municipalities or youth and youth work. This cooperation we always look for it.
What does Board Member represent for JNL?
As a board member you are responsible for the continuity of the organization and think and decide on everything related to the organization has to deal with. You will be registered with the Chamber of Commerce as a board member. In addition to a chairman, secretary and treasurer, our board consists of (prospective) board members. As a board member:
- Are you present at the monthly
meetings (in July and August), which take place in Sittard
- Make a contribution to promoting the
organization and maintaining contacts with the province, municipalities, schools and the like
- Do you think about the continuity of the
organization in the short, medium and long term
- Give you in coordination with the other
board members as project leader directing the execution of one or more
projects
About Jongeren Netwerk Limburg
Onze missie is het versterken van de positie van jongeren tussen 12 en 27 jaar in Limburg. Via onze activiteiten motiveren en leren we jongeren om hun mening te geven over de dingen die hen aangaan later in de toekomst, maar ook in de tegenwoordige tijd thuis, op school, in hun eigen buurt, gemeente en zelfs provincie. Daarnaast hebben wij ook leden – die o.a. bestaan uit overheden (gemeentes), onderwijsinstellingen en andere organisaties – die wij stimuleren en faciliteren om jongeren hiertoe kansen te bieden. Wij spreken de taal van jongeren omdat we zelf louter bestaan uit jongeren.
