The Dance Palace
The Dance Palace is an old-fashioned fun dance afternoon to get older people moving again and to bring them into contact with others. Your world is getting smaller as you get older. The Dance Palace opens the doors to the outside with pictures of the past. Older people dance with each other, with family, with dancing volunteers, local residents and staff; they have fun. An atmosphere is created in which friendships can be closed and people can find comfort together. That is the power of music.
The Dance Palace is more than just a fun party. 69% of the elderly in a care center in the Netherlands are lonely. With the Dance Palace we visit the elderly who can use a cheerful boost and feel the power that is in them. The Dance Palace is a traveling theatrical mini event with PD, decor and dancers, inspired by the 40s and 50s and tours throughout the Netherlands and especially in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Places of destination are care centers, neighborhood homes, events, neighborhood parties and festivals that want to celebrate a party with the elderly.

Van meezingers tot tranentrekkers, van polonaise tot ouderwets rock-en-rollen: met het Danspaleis is het altijd bal.
Iedereen is welkom in het Danspaleis dus ook buurtbewoners, familieleden, personeel en jongeren doen mee aan dit feest van het leven.
