Are you looking for a boyfriend or girlfriend? Do you want to spend half a year with a peer from a different culture where you also do volunteer work together in a place that suits you? Then friend4friend Hilversum (and surroundings) is for you. If you participate in friend4friend, you participate in a trajectory in the context of Social Service.

Content

At friend4friend you spend six months (on average 4 hours a week, a total of 80 hours) with a newcomer/status holder between the ages of 16 and 27 (rising to 30). You have weekly contact and do fun things with him or her. This way you get to know each other and each other's background. In this way, the newcomer learns more about the Netherlands and the Dutch language. The Dutch youngsters get to know a different culture. Together you will look for volunteer work, with the help of the coordinator of Present/friend4friend. Volunteering that suits you! This can be volunteer work in a community center or care home. It can be done with children, young people or the elderly. This is also possible by maintaining a (vegetable) garden or volunteering in the cultural sector or at a sports club. And you can also devise and implement a project together.

Accompaniment

During the six months you will be guided by the friend4friend coordinator. The coordinator keeps in touch with you and helps with obstacles. Every 6 weeks there is a central moment with all duos in Hilversum. Then you get to know the entire friend4friend group. At the end of the six months you can spend a day with someone from the professional field (of your choice) and during a festive moment you will receive a European recognized certificate in the context of Social Service. put on your resume.
