De Bonte Piet in Midwoud offers shelter and care to indigenous wildlife in need of help with an enthusiastic team
Who are we
Wild shelter De Bonte Piet in Midwoud provides shelter and care to indigenous wild animals in need. The care is aimed at returning the animals to their natural environment as quickly as possible. We do this with more than 45 enthusiastic volunteers and 2 (assistant) managers.
We are looking to strengthen our board. Our treasurer will leave us in mid-2021 and we are looking for a replacement. We are also looking for reinforcements for our general and secretarial work.
The functions
Our Wildlife Sanctuary is looking for:
A treasurer
A secretary
A general driver
As a director, you participate in our general board meeting once a month. Here we discuss current developments, the progress of our annual plan and the finances. You are completely free to contribute ideas to make our reception even more successful.
As a treasurer you then take care of the efficient and effective processing of our accounting. Our secretary takes care of our other administration in the broadest sense of the word. A general manager can take on a partial task, such as making and updating our website attractive and maintaining our donor administration or keeping our maintenance plan, etc.
We are looking for board members who:
- Being able to work and act proactively
- As an equal team member we want to help you achieve our goals
- have experience in and feeling with Word, Excel and other office software
- have humor and can look ahead
- have a heart for the shelter and care of animals

This includes traffic victims, young animals abandoned by their parents, sick animals, botulism victims, etc. To achieve this, we have access to a great team of 45 enthusiastic volunteers and interns who are available 7 days a week for the animals Every year, more than 4,200 injured, sick and young animals come to the shelter.
