For the board of the bblthk we are looking for a new board member.

The bblthk fulfills an important social function in the city; cultural, educational and informative. The bblthk strives to inspire all Wageningen residents to continue to develop and to experience, share and impart knowledge, stories and culture. In collaboration with numerous institutions, organizations and groups, the bblthk gives shape to an up-to-date and relevant program and tackles challenges in society, such as low literacy and digitization. The bblthk is an accessible public place. Everyone is welcome. The bblthk has more than 240,000 visitors per year and 10,000 members.

You bring the following expertise and competencies with you:

• Affinity with the purpose and social function of the bblthk
• Knowing what's going on in the city in a broad sense
• Administrative qualities
• Helicopter view and a good balance between involvement and administrative distance
• Open and neutral attitude

Other information:

• The bblthk aims to be a reflection of society as an organization. In the event of equal suitability, preference is given to candidates who strengthen the diversity within the board.
• The board consists of four members and is a so-called remote board;
• The board meets approximately five times a year (in the evenings);
• It is an unpaid position;
• The members are appointed for a period of four years. Members can be reappointed for two terms.
