VOLUNTEER VACANCY: INTERNSHIP GUIDE

The Buurtcoöperatie Apeldoorn-Zuid has various projects in Apeldoorn-South that are aimed at promoting mutual respect. One of those projects is the training company in the district . Through this training company, students do an internship with local residents in Apeldoorn-South. Young learns from old and old from young! Students from Hoornbeeck College and ROC Aventus, among others, do an internship independently at local residents' homes. Internship supervisors from the Neighborhood Cooperative supervise these internships. This project has been a great success since its inception in 2015. Dozens of students have already completed an internship in Apeldoorn-South. Dozens of households received support from the students. The idea came from Judith Verschoor: “There is a lot to learn in the neighborhood with residents at home. Many nursing homes are closing and people have to stay at home longer. I saw a great opportunity here for a new way of doing an internship. As a result, a 'learning company in the neighbourhood' has been created.”

Activities

The work placement company in the Zuid Doet Samen district has room for an internship supervisor on a voluntary basis.
We supervise a group of students from the Hoornbeeck College who are following the Services or Helping Care & Welfare training course and who do an internship at local residents' homes on Wednesdays.

We ask

-Do you have experience in healthcare and/or supervising students?

- Do you enjoy supervising students who do an internship at the home of local residents?

-Are you available on Wednesdays from +/- 1.15pm to +/- 2.15pm, (not during school holidays) and a number of times on Wednesday mornings for consultation with colleagues and local residents?

- Would you like to join our team of enthusiastic and pleasant internship supervisors?
