One of our auxiliary growers cannot count/calculate (properly). He really wants to learn this. Who would like to help him with this for an hour a week on a structural basis?
We have a tree nursery & plant center in Apeldoorn. The care nursery is part of this. Our auxiliary growers participate in the company in their own way. I regularly meet with every grower to see if there are any wishes or needs or learning goals. These can be very diverse, but I always try to see how I can support me here.
For one of the learning goals that one of our help growers has, I am writing this volunteer vacancy.
The assistant grower has a mental disability but would really like to make steps and become more independent in math. Just for his self-confidence and to be able to pay for his groceries himself.
Since I find it difficult to determine how the structure should be for a starting math lesson and I simply get confused with time, I would really like to get help with this.
The person in question cannot read either, but already recognizes a lot. If steps can also be taken in this area, this would be super nice, but his preference now first goes out to calculating / counting.

We are very happy to look for a volunteer for Monday, Tuesday or Friday who likes to support us with the work they do and who enjoys chatting with them in the meantime. (think of activities such as watering, removing weeds from pots, placing or removing labels, garden maintenance)
