Some assistant growers have indicated that they really enjoy having some varied activities, including something with wood.
The idea is to initially start as a project with learning how to make insect hotels or bird houses, which we can then give / sell to our customers at the nursery at purchase price.
We are thinking of weekly, on a fixed day (preferably Tuesday or Friday) 2 hours for the boys in the workshop room, to learn new skills with wood (initially 2 assistant growers).
So do you enjoy being busy in a quiet environment and teaching boys with a request for help some new (low-threshold) skills with wood? Then come and have a coffee to see if our environment suits you.
We have a great team of permanent employees, assistant growers and volunteers. There is a lot of peace, mutual respect and coziness and everyone has a passion for the green environment.

We are very happy to look for a volunteer for Monday, Tuesday or Friday who likes to support us with the work they do and who enjoys chatting with them in the meantime. (think of activities such as watering, removing weeds from pots, placing or removing labels, garden maintenance)
