Volunteers wanted for hospice de Winde Hospice de Winde is part of care group Solis and a hospice with 10 rooms. There is a living room, quiet room and a beautiful roof terrace. In the hospice, guests are looked after with a life expectancy of less than 3 months. People stay here when staying at home becomes too hard for their family, or when intensive care is required due to their terminal illness. There are 24-hour palliative-trained nurses present in the hospice, as well as carers. Our team is supplemented and supported by very committed volunteers, with and without a care background but a lot of affinity with palliative care. Our motto is that we try to add life to the days, when it is no longer possible to add days to the life! Wanted volunteers who want to be socially active! We would like to expand our volunteer group with a number of volunteers who have an affinity with hospice guests. The intention is that the volunteer can be a listening ear for guests and family members. But can also support with simple care actions, can act as a hostess / host for a visit, want to perform household tasks such as tidying up the kitchen, collecting and serving meals, etc.

Working hours

We work in shifts of 4.5 hours, in the morning, afternoon and evening. It is expected to work an average of one shift per week, once every three weeks on weekends and availability in rotation on public holidays. The volunteer can do the scheduling himself via the internet in a digital schedule. A broad in-work program is offered, work consultation with fellow volunteers and an annual training program.
