Do you want to do something for war children? Then register as a volunteer now. War Child is immediately looking for: Voluntary Information Officers (about 8 hours per month).
You
You think it is important to commit yourself to War Child and to spread the vision and message of War Child. You have good communication skills and you can easily give presentations. You are an enthusiastic personality who knows how to connect people to War Child and who likes to develop initiatives.
Your challenge
As a War Child Information Officer you visit companies, schools, museums and events in your region. You provide information about War Child to various target groups and you encourage them to take action. You receive checks and you thank our campaigners. You develop initiatives in your own region and within your network and know how to make optimum use of opportunities and opportunities for recruiting new fundraising campaigns. If you prefer a certain target group then you can of course state that yourself. Social media has no secrets for you and you keep proactive contact with your region through our platform Yammer. We also regularly have events such as the TV Show and the Dam tot Damloop where we also need help.
Your profile
Giving presentations and talking for groups works well for you. You have strong communication skills and you communicate easily at various levels. The following applies to you: appointment is agreement. You work well independently and you are flexible and proactive. You know how to use your network and together with your regional team you ensure more income and brand awareness for War Child. You are at least 21 years old and it is useful if you are in possession of a car.
The organization
As a volunteer you are important to us. You are part of the regional team that is managed by the Regional Coordinator. You will have the opportunity to participate in internal training and you will be involved in War Child events. Once every two years we organize the big volunteer party, where we put the spotlight on the past year.

The procedure consists of a telephone introduction, a personal conversation at the office in Amsterdam and a discussion with the Regional Coordinator. Availability / tax
You are approximately 8 available per month. You are willing and able to attend regional meetings and training days. Information and presentations often fall on working days, but also on the weekends. Twice a year you attend the training day in Amsterdam. These are on Saturdays. We expect your presence here to stay informed and to develop further as an Information Officer. There is a regional meeting in your region four times a year, usually in the evenings. These meetings are important to keep abreast of developments in your region and the latest news from War Child.
