Do you have time to drive a child from the Orphanage to the Hospital?

In Grootebroek there is an orphanage from Ukraine in the historic Schuilhoeve. They fled because of the war in their country and have been in the Netherlands since 2022. They have been living in Grootebroek since last summer.

The children are not orphans because of the war, but are often in the orphanage for medical reasons.

What are you going to do?

The children regularly have to go to medical appointments in Hoorn, Amsterdam, Enkhuizen and Spanbroek. We are looking for drivers who enjoy occasionally driving a child and a supervisor from the orphanage. The supervisor goes with the child to the appointment, while you can park the car. The appointments vary in length from fifteen minutes to a maximum of 2 hours. The travel time is added to this. Occasionally, medication may need to be obtained from the pharmacy after the appointment.

When?

The appointments are on working days, during the day. You will have the opportunity to register for rides that fit your availability. We are happy every time you can ride.

What do you get in return?

A travel allowance and parking costs are offered. You also get the opportunity to mean something important to children who could really use the help.
