enthusiastic volunteer for external communication

Food bank Neder-Veluwe eo provides weekly food parcels to people below the poverty line in Wageningen, Renkum, Doorwerth, Oosterbeek, Rhenen and Elst (U). This currently includes about 220 families. The Food Bank receives most of the products from supermarkets and other companies, but the composition varies per week. The Food Bank can regularly put too few fresh products, such as dairy, vegetables or fruit, in the packages. That is why the Food Bank has opened a webshop where people can immediately buy fresh products for the customers of the Food Bank, which can be used to supplement the packages in times of scarcity. Through this webshop, the donor determines what the money is spent on.

Job description

The Food Bank is looking for a volunteer who is willing to work for communication in local media and on Facebook and Twitter.

Job requirements

· You master the Dutch language, you have language skills and you like to write

· You are proactive and know how to easily find communication channels

· You work independently

You have experience with social media and you use techniques, such as hashtags, to reach more people

About Food Bank Neder-Veluwe

Our rationale is: helping people in need and combating the waste of good food. Food parcels are provided when people for whatever reason are left with too little money for the necessary livelihood. The packages are tailored as much as possible to the family situation, but we are always dependent on the offer. We work with about 165 highly motivated volunteers.

What makes the work worth it?

Your messages in the local media and on Facebook and Twitter provide insight into the activities of the Food Bank Neder-Veluwe and inspire people to buy fresh products in the webshop to supplement and improve the variety of the food packages.
