As a Legal Volunteer, you support - within the VOD team - people without a residence permit to find a sustainable solution for their situation.
Vluchteling Onder Dak is a small organization in Wageningen that is committed to refugees whose asylum applications have been rejected. We support these people to find a sustainable solution for their situation - for example by looking for a legal alternative in the Netherlands (appeal, repeated asylum application, etc.). For this we are looking for a Legal Volunteer.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Research and analysis of legal files
- Investigating points of contact for residence
- Collecting evidence
- Providing legal advice to undocumented people
- File consultation with colleagues and lawyers
We are looking for someone who:
- Preferably has knowledge of Dutch law, e.g. administrative law and immigration law.
- Affinity with refugees, undocumented persons and Refugee Shelter;
- Can express himself well in writing and enjoys working in a team;
- Flexible and available on call.
