Language coach: Practicing Dutch with a group of non-native speakers

As of September 1, 2020, we are looking for a language coach who wants to help a group of non-Dutch speakers with the practice of the Dutch language for 2 hours a week to help increase their language skills. The participants come from all kinds of countries and have different cultural backgrounds and their level is also diverse.

You do not have to have experience with teaching. We do expect you to be motivated and able to work independently. You also need a certain amount of flexibility and patience. It goes without saying that you deal with cultural differences in a respectful way. The language group is supervised by two coaches.

What we ask

• The language coach encourages the participant to apply the Dutch language as much as possible in everyday life and therefore exercises the language together with the participant in various practical situations, for example by having a coffee together or preparing for a job interview.
• The language coach adjusts the program to the other activities of the participant and works closely together with the employees involved.
• The language coach emphasizes self-motivation and personal responsibility.
• The language coach is didactically skilled and has thorough knowledge that he or she knows how to transfer.
• A statement of conduct (VOG)
