Beautiful Binnenveld Foundation and Association (MB)

The Foundation owns and manages 50 hectares of new nature in De Binnenveldse Hooilanden, a nature reserve located between Veenendaal, Ede, Rhenen and Wageningen. In the management there is cooperation with Coöperatie Binnenveldse Hooilanden (local farmers), Staatsbosbeheer and Water Board Vallei en Veluwe. The MB Foundation also manages the De Groene Grens nature reserve for the municipality of Veenendaal.

The Association MB is linked to the Foundation. Our public activities are initiated by the Association, such as excursions, voluntary work and education programmes. The Foundation and Association work closely together and have the same board.

The board and the vacancy

The current board has 10 members who work unpaid. Within the board there are a number of specific portfolios. The current treasurer (Driek Enserink) has indicated that he wants to stop his board work in the summer of 2023. This releases the position of Treasurer.

In recent years, Driek has managed to set up the administration of both the Foundation and the Association well. He was coached on a frequent, voluntary basis by Louis Bouten, who himself has a business services company.

As the new treasurer you are responsible for both the financial and administrative part of the MB Foundation and the MB Association. Both organizations have their own bank account and specific administration in which the online accounting program “e-Bookkeeping” is used for the financial part. Account groups and schedules of these online accounts have been made user-friendly according to the needs of both organizations.

Your tasks are aimed at keeping the figures, reports and overviews in order. You pay the bills and check the income. In addition, you determine whether the plans of the board are financially feasible and you translate the policy into a financial overview. In summary, your activities are:

For the Foundation:

· bank account management;

· billing;

· creditor and debtor administration;

· taking care of the quarterly VAT returns for the De Groene Grens management project;

· preparation of the annual budget;

· preparation of the annual accounts and the accompanying annual financial report;

· cooperation in the annual preparation of offers/budgets for the project-based activities (De Groene Grens; De Binnenveldse Hooilanden);

For the Association:

· bank account management;

· billing;

· creditor and debtor administration;

· preparation of the annual accounts and the accompanying annual financial report;

· preparation of the annual budget;

· Taking care of the membership administration.

As treasurer, you belong to the core of the board and you get along with almost all aspects of the ins and outs of Mooi Binnenveld. You get to know many members and get a good idea of our network. In addition to the role as treasurer, you fully participate in the board and you also contribute to other activities; depending on your own interest.

We are looking for a new enthusiastic board member for our new treasurer. You have an affinity with numbers and you are of course careful. It is human work, which also requires good communication skills.
