Wood volunteer

At the Dorpsboerderij we split wood into ready-to-use fireplace wood. We deliver this end product to our customers or sell it on our own premises. The splitting of the wood is mainly done by our clients, and the supervisors + volunteers help where necessary.

For this tough job we are looking for a new volunteer. Are you the person with patience, humor and who knows how to tackle things? Do you get satisfaction from physical work, from working with our clients and from creating a beautiful saleable product together with them? Then feel free to come by for an introduction.

When splitting wood, we use a saw splitter and various means of transport such as a forklift and a bus with a tipper. We will provide you with the mandatory safety clothing, and if it works out well, a forklift operating course is negotiable

Day & Time

We are looking for a volunteer for at least Thursday (at least 1 day), but if you want you can also come for several days.

For whom

Our clients are people with a mild intellectual disability. They receive day care at the Dorpsboerderij.

· A Certificate of Good Conduct is mandatory

· Our trial period is 3 months

Location information

The Dorpsboerderij Dronten is a combination of a petting zoo, tea house and a wood splitter. Visitors like to come by to enjoy a cup of coffee and cake after a walk through the Wisentbos. And families like to visit the animals on the petting zoo.
