Summary

As an acquisition board member, you are committed to fundraising for projects in Uganda.

Detailed description

You are responsible for collecting information about project plans and project progress , preparing project proposals and reports and submitting them to relevant capital funds or funding organizations . You introduce the foundation and the projects in Uganda to organizations and funds in the form of texts and possibly presentations. The position also involves selecting eligible organizations and funds and maintaining contact with these organizations and funds. You do this in collaboration with the other acquisition board member and the acquisition committee , which you set up and chair together. You will also be involved in incidental administrative tasks . There is also plenty of room to contribute your own ideas .


Desired characteristics of an acquisition board member:

  • Interest in development issues and/or deafness.
  • Can take responsibility.
  • Motivated, works independently and takes initiative.
  • Can work well in a team and adheres to deadlines and agreements.
  • Has good spoken and written English.
  • Enjoys developing project ideas with the Ugandan partner.
  • Is a social person with an interest in networking and making contacts.
  • Is enthusiastic about building school buildings in Uganda.


Enjoys writing and presenting project proposals.
