Senior advisor for home visits and information

As a volunteer Senior Advisor you are affiliated with Stimenz, we are an organization for social work for Apeldoorn and the Veluwe. In Apeldoorn our assignment includes broad social work and in the Veluwe we offer social work and socio-legal services.

What does your work consist of?

As a volunteer senior advisor, you make a one-off home visit to residents aged 70+ in Apeldoorn. During these visits you inform people about facilities. You provide information and advice about what may be important to people, now or in the future. This includes topics such as care, assistance, housing, transport, activities or financial arrangements. You are the guide! In situations where more help is needed, contact is made with the elderly advisor, the resident support staff from Stimenz or with Apeldoorn network organizations. You are not alone, the Senior Information Coordinator from Stimenz is happy to think and work with you!

Practical information

At the moment the emphasis of our visits is in Apeldoorn South and a number of surrounding villages. There is a fixed amount of expense reimbursement for the kilometers you travel during the visits.

You will be asked to commit to 2 half-days per week, i.e. 4 home visits (other options may be discussed). Home visits are made in the morning or afternoon. 'There are no home visits in the evenings. You are free to choose your own day and part of the day and you can plan your visits yourself.

You have a team meeting once every 8 weeks where you and the other information officers meet and exchange experiences. This moment can also be used to expand knowledge within a theme.

What does it bring you?

Your role is valuable because you can really mean something to other Apeldoorners! You will meet many different people and stay informed of the latest regulations. You are part of a team of senior advisors in which you also receive further training. Our aim is to make it as fun, challenging, interesting and educational as possible!
