Who are we?
The Y Camps Foundation annually organizes 30 holiday camps for children that deserve extra attention. Refugees, children with diabetes, children with mild behavioral problems, young carers and children from families with less financial capacity. These camps are run by volunteers. We offer our volunteers workshops and training sessions to give the children an unforgettable week!
What can you do?
We offer a training weekend for new volunteers on May 21/22 in which the volunteers learn more about camp management, group dynamics, collaboration, presentation, creating a camp program and crisis management during a camp.
The kick-off training weekend is June 17/18, 2022 for both new and experienced volunteers. Various workshops and training courses are offered during that weekend. The program for this weekend has yet to be devised. This weekend's theme is “team spirit”.
What do you have?
If you have experience working with groups of children or camp experience, we are looking for you. Do you want to share this experience and use it as a trainer or help with practical support during the training weekend or the kick-off weekend?
