Summary
Every child has the right to play regardless of the parents' financial situation. Toy bank “De Schatkist” would like to contribute to this. Our toy bank is fully equipped as a store and we are looking for volunteers to guide children [and parents] in the store.
Detailed description
- a warm welcome from the children and their parents when they visit the Treasury
- informing parents about the working method of the toy bank
- in case of a first visit, register children using the standard form
- ensure that toys are selected that are appropriate for the child and support the child in making a choice
- recording date of visit and selected toys on standard form
- have an eye for keeping the coffee table and play corner cozy
- refilling coffee, tea and lemonade and refreshments
- cleaning up used cups, etc.
- replenishing the stock in the store and assisting with less crowds when choosing and cleaning collected toys
• Affinity with the objective of the Toy Bank
• A flexible and customer-oriented attitude, but can also act decisively when necessary
• A careful way of dealing with privacy-sensitive information
• Pleasure in working with fellow volunteers
• Communication skills
• A good knowledge of the Dutch language

Speelgoedbank Apeldoorn zamelt speelgoed in, nieuw en 2e hands, en is er voor ieder kind van 0 tot en met 12 jaar in en rond Apeldoorn waarvan zijn of haar ouders/verzorgers rond moeten komen van een minimaal besteedbaar inkomen.
Speelgoed is erg belangrijk voor de fantasie, motoriek en creativiteit van een kind. Speelgoed zorgt er bovendien voor dat kinderen sneller met andere kinderen spelen en is dus ook belangrijk voor de sociale contacten.
