Detailed description
The VoorleesExpress offers families, where there is little language on offer, a voluntary reader. For six months, the reader will visit a family at home every week to encourage reading and to experience the pleasure of reading.
In Hilversum 70 families a year receive a reader.
As a coordinator, you supervise a maximum of 5 readers and their families. You visit 3 times per family; to introduce the reader, halfway through the process to discuss how things are going and at the end.
You maintain contacts with the readers via Whatsapp and you are their first point of contact.
The project leader supervises the coordinators. At the moment there is a team with 5 coordinators in Hilversum, which meets about 4 times a year.
