Vacancy: coordinator Kletsmaatjes (volunteer position)

Do you already know Kletsmaatjes? Founded during and in response to corona, Kletsmaatjes has been providing more than 2000 couples - newcomers with volunteers - with a weekly meeting since March 27, 2020. A steady stream of applications is evidence of a clear need among newcomers to learn the language. The project is topical because of corona but also offers an answer to loneliness, for example. Fortunately, the many registrations of language volunteers tie in nicely with this.

Kletsmaatjes is a success! That is why we are immediately looking for new volunteer coordinators who will help bear that success. As a coordinator you conduct intake interviews with newcomers and volunteers, after which you link them together. You then monitor those couples during a 26-week process. In this way you can perpetuate a period of valuable, educational contact that often results in friendships and language successes.

What you are going to do

• You video call potential volunteers and newcomers who want to become a chitchat buddy;
• You make couples;
• You monitor couples and keep the database in order;
• You answer questions from chitchat buddies;
• You exchange online experiences with other coordinators;
• Possible additional (administrative) work around Kletsmaatjes.

Who we are looking for

• You are enthusiastic and have a heart for the business;
• You are available 8 hours a week (spread over several days);
• You are available for longer than 6 months;
• You are digitally skilled;
• You are representative and know how to make people enthusiastic;
• It is an advantage if you have experience with newcomers and / or language coaching.
