Are you available to our members on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings to lend and collect toys?
Every Friday evening from 19:30 to 20:30 and Saturday morning from 10:30 to 12:00 the Speel-o-theek is open. Members can then come and borrow and return their toys. Every quarter the volunteers are asked for their availability and you can indicate when you want to work. You will be scheduled on average once every three weeks.
As a volunteer, you are present half an hour in advance to make preparations and to set up reserved toys. During opening hours, you speak to our members, take in the toys and check whether everything is complete and tidy. You check out the toys that are brought along. You process this and any administrative actions directly in our online lending system.
You also welcome new members and help them register if necessary. Of course, there is also time for a chat. There is always a key manager present with experience. At the end of the opening, you help clean up everything and close it again.
